LOST TRIBES - Introduction
[Deut 4:27] And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be
left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you.
[Deut 4:28] And there you will serve gods of wood and stone, the work of
men's hands, that neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.
[Deut 4:29] But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find
him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
[Deut 4:30] When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you
in the latter days, you will return to the LORD your God and obey his voice,
[Deut 4:31] for the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not fail you or
destroy you or forget the covenant with your fathers which he swore to them.
The above is the basis for the prophesy regarding the return of the Jewish
People to Israel. But remember it was a statement supposedly given to the
Children of Israel at Sinai. That means all the Children of Israel. The very
important question is where are they? The promise was not given to the Tribe of
Judah alone (i.e. The Jews ), nor was it given to believers. It was given to the
seed of the Tribes.
Over the coming weeks we will trace who might or might not be the descendants
of those tribes that supposedly received the promise at Sinai and those in the
English speaking world including America are going to be very surprised.
To show how the prophets viewed the situation, I have compiled a list of
quotations showing how "The House of Judah", "The House of
Israel" and even "Jerusalem" (the home of the Benjaminites) were
all treated separately.
[Isa 11:12.21] He will raise an ensign for the nations, and will assemble the
outcasts of Israel, and gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of
the earth.
[Isa 11:13.11] The jealousy of E'phraim shall depart, and those who harass
Judah shall be cut off; E'phraim shall not be jealous of Judah, and Judah shall
not harass E'phraim.
[Isa 65:9.10] I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah
inheritors of my mountains; my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall
dwell there.
[Jer 3:8.27] She saw that for all the adulteries of that faithless one,
Israel, I had sent her away with a decree of divorce; yet her false sister Judah
did not fear, but she too went and played the harlot.
[Jer 3:11.16] And the LORD said to me, "Faithless Israel has shown
herself less guilty than false Judah.
[Jer 3:18.7] In those days the house of Judah shall join the house of Israel,
and together they shall come from the land of the north to the land that I gave
your fathers for a heritage.
[Jer 5:11.10] For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been
utterly faithless to me, says the LORD.
[Jer 8:1.13] "At that time, says the LORD, the bones of the kings of
Judah, the bones of its princes, the bones of the priests, the bones of the
prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be brought out of
their tombs;
[Jer 9:26.2] Egypt, Judah, Edom, the sons of Ammon, Moab, and all who dwell
in the desert that cut the corners of their hair; for all these nations are
uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."
[Jer 11:10.34] They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers,
who refused to hear my words; they have gone after other gods to serve them; the
house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with
their fathers.
[Jer 11:17.26] The LORD of hosts, who planted you, has pronounced evil
against you, because of the evil which the house of Israel and the house of
Judah have done, provoking me to anger by burning incense to Ba'al."
[Jer 12:14.40] Thus says the LORD concerning all my evil neighbors who touch
the heritage which I have given my people Israel to inherit: "Behold, I
will pluck them up from their land, and I will pluck up the house of Judah from
among them.
[Jer 13:9.13] "Thus says the LORD: Even so will I spoil the pride of
Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
[Jer 13:11.25] For as the waistcloth clings to the loins of a man, so I made
the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me, says the
LORD, that they might be for me a people, a name, a praise, and a glory, but
they would not listen.
[Jer 13:19.15] The cities of the Negeb are shut up, with none to open them;
all Judah is taken into exile, wholly taken into exile.
[Jer 15:4.25] And I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth
because of what Manas'seh the son of Hezeki'ah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.
[Jer 17:25.32] then there shall enter by the gates of this city kings who sit
on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their
princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall
be inhabited for ever.
[Jer 19:3.13] You shall say, `Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and
inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel,
Behold, I am bringing such evil upon this place that the ears of every one who
hears of it will tingle.
[Jer 19:7.12] And in this place I will make void the plans of Judah and
Jerusalem, and will cause their people to fall by the sword before their
enemies, and by the hand of those who seek their life. I will give their dead
bodies for food to the birds of the air and to the beasts of the earth.
[Jer 19:13.12] The houses of Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of
Judah--all the houses upon whose roofs incense has been burned to all the host
of heaven, and drink offerings have been poured out to other gods--shall be
defiled like the place of Topheth.'"
[Jer 20:4.38] For thus says the LORD: Behold, I will make you a terror to
yourself and to all your friends. They shall fall by the sword of their enemies
while you look on. And I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of
Babylon; he shall carry them captive to Babylon, and shall slay them with the
sword.
[Jer 23:6.4] In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely.
And this is the name by which he will be called: `The LORD is our
righteousness.'
[Jer 24:8.26] "But thus says the LORD: Like the bad figs which are so
bad they cannot be eaten, so will I treat Zedeki'ah the king of Judah, his
princes, the remnant of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell
in the land of Egypt.
[Jer 25:2.11] which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and
all the inhabitants of Jerusalem:
[Jer 25:18.6] Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and princes, to
make them a desolation and a waste, a hissing and a curse, as at this day;
[Jer 30:3.20] For behold, days are coming, says the LORD, when I will restore
the fortunes of my people, Israel and Judah, says the LORD, and I will bring
them back to the land which I gave to their fathers, and they shall take
possession of it."
[Jer 30:4.12] These are the words which the LORD spoke concerning Israel and
Judah:
[Jer 31:27.21] "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will
sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed
of beast.
[Jer 31:31.25] "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will
make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah,
[Jer 32:30.10] For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have done nothing
but evil in my sight from their youth; the sons of Israel have done nothing but
provoke me to anger by the work of their hands, says the LORD.
[Jer 32:32.15] because of all the evil of the sons of Israel and the sons of
Judah which they did to provoke me to anger--their kings and their princes,
their priests and their prophets, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of
Jerusalem.
[Jer 33:7.7] I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel,
and rebuild them as they were at first.
[Jer 33:14.26] "Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will
fulfil the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
[Jer 33:16.4] In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell
securely. And this is the name by which it will be called: `The LORD is our
righteousness.'
[Jer 34:7.19] when the army of the king of Babylon was fighting against
Jerusalem and against all the cities of Judah that were left, Lachish and
Aze'kah; for these were the only fortified cities of Judah that remained.
[Jer 35:17.19] Therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of
Israel: Behold, I am bringing on Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all
the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them and
they have not listened, I have called to them and they have not answered."
[Jer 36:2.20] "Take a scroll and write on it all the words that I have
spoken to you against Israel and Judah and all the nations, from the day I spoke
to you, from the days of Josi'ah until today.
[Jer 36:6.53] so you are to go, and on a fast day in the hearing of all the
people in the LORD's house you shall read the words of the LORD from the scroll
which you have written at my dictation. You shall read them also in the hearing
of all the men of Judah who come out of their cities.
[Jer 36:31.31] And I will punish him and his offspring and his servants for
their iniquity; I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but
they would not hear.'"
[Jer 40:11.32] Likewise, when all the Jews who were in Moab and among the
Ammonites and in Edom and in other lands heard that the king of Babylon had left
a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedali'ah the son of Ahi'kam, son of
Shaphan, as governor over them,
[Jer 40:12.22] then all the Jews returned from all the places to which they
had been driven and came to the land of Judah, to Gedali'ah at Mizpah; and they
gathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.
[Jer 40:15.52] Then Joha'nan the son of Kare'ah spoke secretly to Gedali'ah
at Mizpah, "Let me go and slay Ish'mael the son of Nethani'ah, and no one
will know it. Why should he take your life, so that all the Jews who are
gathered about you would be scattered, and the remnant of Judah would
perish?"
[Jer 44:2.28] "Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: You have
seen all the evil that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of
Judah. Behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them,
[Jer 50:4.19] "In those days and in that time, says the LORD, the people
of Israel and the people of Judah shall come together, weeping as they come; and
they shall seek the LORD their God.
[Jer 50:20.25] In those days and in that time, says the LORD, iniquity shall
be sought in Israel, and there shall be none; and sin in Judah, and none shall
be found; for I will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.
[Jer 50:33.17] "Thus says the LORD of hosts: The people of Israel are
oppressed, and the people of Judah with them; all who took them captive have
held them fast, they refuse to let them go.
[Jer 51:5.4] For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the
LORD of hosts; but the land of the Chalde'ans is full of guilt against the Holy
One of Israel.
[Lam 2:2.25] The Lord has destroyed without mercy all the habitations of
Jacob; in his wrath he has broken down the strongholds of the daughter of Judah;
he has brought down to the ground in dishonor the kingdom and its rulers.
[Lam 2:5.31] The Lord has become like an enemy, he has destroyed Israel; he
has destroyed all its palaces, laid in ruins its strongholds; and he has
multiplied in the daughter of Judah mourning and lamentation.
[Ezek 9:9.14] Then he said to me, "The guilt of the house of Israel and
Judah is exceedingly great; the land is full of blood, and the city full of
injustice; for they say, `The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not
see.'
[Ezek 25:3.44] Say to the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus says
the Lord GOD, Because you said, `Aha!' over my sanctuary when it was profaned,
and over the land of Israel when it was made desolate, and over the house of
Judah when it went into exile;
[Ezek 27:17.1] Judah and the land of Israel traded with you; they exchanged
for your merchandise wheat, olives and early figs, honey, oil, and balm.
[Ezek 37:16.12] "Son of man, take a stick and write on it, `For Judah,
and the children of Israel associated with him'; then take another stick and
write upon it, `For Joseph (the stick of E'phraim) and all the house of Israel
associated with him';
[Ezek 37:19.43] say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am about to
take the stick of Joseph (which is in the hand of E'phraim) and the tribes of
Israel associated with him; and I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make
them one stick, that they may be one in my hand.
[Dan 9:7.21] To thee, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us confusion of
face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and
to all Israel, those that are near and those that are far away, in all the lands
to which thou hast driven them, because of the treachery which they have
committed against thee.
[Hos 1:11.5] And the people of Judah and the people of Israel shall be
gathered together, and they shall appoint for themselves one head; and they
shall go up from the land, for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
[Hos 5:5.15] The pride of Israel testifies to his face; E'phraim shall
stumble in his guilt; Judah also shall stumble with them.
[Hos 5:12.17] Therefore I am like a moth to E'phraim, and like dry rot to the
house of Judah.
[Hos 5:13.7] When E'phraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then
E'phraim went to Assyria, and sent to the great king. But he is not able to cure
you or heal your wound.
[Hos 5:14.19] For I will be like a lion to E'phraim, and like a young lion to
the house of Judah. I, even I, will rend and go away, I will carry off, and none
shall rescue.
[Hos 6:4.16] What shall I do with you, O E'phraim? What shall I do with you,
O Judah? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that goes early away.
[Hos 8:14.11] For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and built palaces; and
Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire upon his cities,
and it shall devour his strongholds
[Hos 10:11.24] E'phraim was a trained heifer that loved to thresh, and I
spared her fair neck; but I will put E'phraim to the yoke, Judah must plow,
Jacob must harrow for himself.
[Hos 11:12.15] E'phraim has encompassed me with lies, and the house of Israel
with deceit; but Judah is still known by God, and is faithful to the Holy One.
[Hos 12:2.7] The LORD has an indictment against Judah, and will punish Jacob
according to his ways, and requite him according to his deeds.
[Joel 3:1.16] "For behold, in those days and at that time, when I
restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
[Joel 3:6.7] You have sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks,
removing them far from their own border.
[Joel 3:20.2] But Judah shall be inhabited for ever, and Jerusalem to all
generations.
[Mic 1:1.22] The word of the LORD that came to Micah of Mo'resheth in the
days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezeki'ah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning
Sama'ria and Jerusalem
[Mic 1:5.37] All this is for the transgression of Jacob and for the sins of
the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Sama'ria? And
what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?
[Mic 5:2.15] But you, O Bethlehem Eph'rathah, who are little to be among the
clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in
Israel, whose origin is from of old, from ancient days.
[Zeph 1:4.8] "I will stretch out my hand against Judah, and against all
the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off from this place the remnant of
Ba'al and the name of the idolatrous priests;
[Zech 1:12.25] Then the angel of the LORD said, `O LORD of hosts, how long
wilt thou have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which thou
hast had indignation these seventy years?'
[Zech 1:19.25] And I said to the angel who talked with me, "What are
these?" And he answered me, "These are the horns which have scattered
Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem."
[Zech 2:12.6] And the LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy
land, and will again choose Jerusalem."
[Zech 8:13.16] And as you have been a byword of cursing among the nations, O
house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you and you shall be a
blessing. Fear not, but let your hands be strong."
[Zech 8:15.19] so again have I purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem
and to the house of Judah; fear not.
[Zech 9:13.5] For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made E'phraim its
arrow. I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Greece, and wield
you like a warrior's sword.
[Zech 10:6.7] "I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the
house of Joseph. I will bring them back because I have compassion on them, and
they shall be as though I had not rejected them; for I am the LORD their God and
I will answer them.
[Zech 11:14.12] Then I broke my second staff Union, annulling the brotherhood
between Judah and Israel.
[Zech 12:2.22] "Lo, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all
the peoples round about; it will be against Judah also in the siege against
Jerusalem.
[Zech 12:5.5] Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, `The
inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the LORD of hosts, their God.'
[Zech 12:6.10] "On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a
blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they
shall devour to the right and to the left all the peoples round about, while
Jerusalem shall still be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem
[Zech 12:7.11] "And the LORD will give victory to the tents of Judah
first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem may not be exalted over that of Judah.
[Zech 14:14.2] even Judah will fight against Jerusalem. And the wealth of all
the nations round about shall be collected, gold, silver, and garments in great
abundance.
[Zech 14:21.7] and every pot in Jerusalem and Judah shall be sacred to the
LORD of hosts, so that all who sacrifice may come and take of them and boil the
flesh of the sacrifice in them. And there shall no longer be a trader in the
house of the LORD of hosts on that day.
[Mal 2:11.1] Judah has been faithless, and abomination has been committed in
Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the sanctuary of the LORD, which
he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.
[Mal 3:4.5] Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the
LORD as in the days of old and as in former years.
Any Questions.
